Administration MTSS Development Session

MTSS, or Multi-Tiered System of Supports, is an educational framework designed to provide a comprehensive and integrated system of support to meet the academic, behavioral, and social-emotional needs of all students. A one-day training session on MTSS aims to provide participants with an understanding of the key components and implementation strategies of this framework.

Cost: Free for individuals within CSIU region

Target Audience

Administration that is participating in the AWARE grant building an MTSS system. Administration that would like to build an MTSS system within their district. 

Learner Outcomes
  1. Providing an overview of what MTSS is, its purpose, and its guiding principles. 

  2. Covering the essential elements of MTSS, including universal screening, tiered levels of support, progress monitoring, data-driven decision-making, and collaboration among educators, families, and community partners.

  3. Understanding the three tiers of support within the MTSS framework, with Tier 1 focusing on universal support for all students, Tier 2 providing targeted interventions for students who require additional support, and Tier 3 offering intensive interventions for students with the most significant needs.

  4. Encouraging a collaborative approach to problem-solving, involving educators, support staff, families, and other stakeholders. The training would include strategies for effective collaboration and communication among team members to support student success.
