Making Teaching Stick in the ELA Classroom
Join us for an inspiring professional learning session led by nationally renowned literacy expert Kate Roberts. Designed for ELA educators, this session equips teachers with powerful, classroom-ready strategies to strengthen students’ ability to analyze character, theme, and craft across a wide range of texts. Participants will discover how to create the conditions that make instruction stick, empowering students to develop the skills necessary for confident, independent, and proficient reading.
Target Audience
Grade 4-8 teachers (also appropriate for teaching struggling readers in all secondary classrooms)
Learner Outcomes
This professional learning session empowers ELA teachers with effective strategies to build student capacity for analyzing character, theme, and craft across various texts. Participants will explore how to create conditions that make teaching stick, supporting students in developing the essential skills needed for more proficient and independent reading practice.
