Ninth Grade Science Interactions - Student Understanding of Intermolecular Forces

Interactions is a yearlong ninth-grade physical science curriculum and teacher support system developed at CREATE through a grant from the National Science Foundation [DRL-1232388]. Partners included the Concord Consortium and the University of Michigan. Teachers in several districts in Michigan were involved in the development and testing of the materials, which then underwent an effectiveness study in the Los Angeles Unified School District.

Planning and facilitation of four face-to-face sessions; eight facilitated monthly PLC meetings conducted via zoom where teachers would evaluate student work.

Instructional coaching for teachers as needed in the form of follow-up zoom meetings, emails, texts, etc. with curriculum or instruction questions.
