Nonviolent Crisis Intervention Training Program: A Workshop for Parents and Caregivers

Course Narrative:
This information workshop is designed for parents and caregivers who may be involved in the life of an individual who is served by a school or other organization where Nonviolent Crisis Intervention training is utilized in staff development.

The purpose of this workshop is to provide parents and other caregivers with:

  1. An understanding of the philosophy of Care, Welfare, Safety and Security, which is the cornerstore of the Nonviolent Crisis Intervention training program.
  2. An overview of some of the concepts and strategies taught in the Nonviolent Crisis Intervention program that could aid in the continuity of a personĀ“s support and care.
  3. Knowledge about the realities involved in the use of physical restraints.

Additional Information:
Developed by CPI, Nonvoilent Crisis Intervention training is an internationally recognized behavior management program that has been proven eff ective in managing disruptive and assultive individuals. The goal of the program is to give you the skills to provide the skills to provide the best Care, Welfare, Safety, and Security for staff and those in our care, even during crisis situations.
