Virtual Wellness Check-In Training: Recognizing and Responding When a Student Isn’t Okay
Pennsylvania’s Act 20 of 2026 requires school districts to complete a weekly, real-time wellness check with every student enrolled in a district-run cyber program. This full-day training prepares the staff who conduct those checks, whatever their role, to do more than confirm attendance. Participants will build a working knowledge of youth mental health, learn what distress looks like through a webcam, practice asking a student directly about suicide, and leave with a clear escalation plan that spells out who to call and when: the school counselor, county crisis, ChildLine, or 911. District teams will draft an escalation flowchart and documentation procedure to take back for administrative approval. Date: Monday, November 16, 2026 Time: 8:30 am – 3:30 pm Location: CSIU Main Building – Keystone Format: In-Person Act 48: Yes, 6 hrs
Cost: $100/per participant (Free for eToole members) Lunch: Not Provided
