32nd Annual Early Childhood Conference: Trauma in Young Children-A Matter of Social Emotional Health

Friday October 26th, 2018
Location: Summit Church Description: The Early Childhood Conference is an annual conference that offers training in the area of Early Childhood Education. This year the conference will be held on Friday, October 26, 2018, and runs from 8:30 am to 3:30 pm. Registration begins at 8:00 am.
The $50.00 cost includes a continental breakfast and lunch with dessert at the Summit Church in Indiana, PA. If you have special dietary needs, please contact Milissa Johns at 724-463-5300 Ext. 1222. Vendor booths will also be on display.

Early childhood educators work closely with and provide support for families with children who have special needs. Increasingly, these educators encounter families with young children who have experienced trauma in their lives; trauma that puts children at risk for developmental delays. Training will provide attendees with research trend data relative to social emotional health, risk factors and its effect on children’s development as well as strategies in working with children experiencing trauma.
