Math Collaborative 2021-22

    Math Collaborative 2021-22

    This is an opportunity to network with fellow teachers throughout the region, update knowledge of current information being dispersed throughout the state, discuss and practice current topics in mathematics education, and share resources.  This year we will continue to focus on ways to motivate students in the mathematics classroom. As math leaders, participants are expected to disseminate information to their home districts. There is no requirement for having previously attended. Participants are asked to register separately for each session they choose to attend.

    This is a three-session training. Sessions 1 and 2 will be online and allow participants to work at their own pace. They will participate in weekly online discussions and connect two times via Zoom to reflect on the learning. Log-in information will be provided through email prior to the start date of each session. Session 3 will be held in person.

    Target Audience
    Teachers grades K-12

    Learner Outcomes

    Participants will: 

    • Network with colleagues across the region.
    • Understand how to incorporate highly effective teaching strategies in the classroom to incorporate the Standards of Mathematical Practices.
    • Share ideas and resources around motivating students in the learning environment.

    Pending approval, State Continuing Education Clock Hours (SCECHs) will be offered for this training.  Further information will be provided by course instructor.
