REMC Courses

    REMC Courses

    The REMC Courses are free and open to Michigan school personnel. You can take courses “just to learn” or complete the course and assignments and earn SCECH credits.  All courses are facilitated by Michigan educators. 

     

    Time Commitment: Each course session lasts for three (3) weeks and requires 10 hours of time to complete the work.  This work includes participating in two, one (1) hour webinars OR listening to the pre-recorded webinar plus eight (8) hours for the reading, participation in discussion boards and written reflection. 

     

    SCECHs: 10 SCECHs are available at no cost.

    Welcome Email:
     Your instructor sends a welcome email with course login and other information the Monday prior to the course start date. A reminder welcome email is sent the Saturday before the course start date.  Logging in and reviewing the course structure and calendar prior to the start date works best!


    Technology Requirements:
     A computer device with an up-to-date browser plus access to the internet.

Description: 10 hours of SCECH Credit

Learn to develop exemplary K-9 lessons that integrate technology using Michigan technology competencies and ISTE Standards for Students. For both technology coordinator and classroom teachers, this course will provide an understanding of the 21st-century technology skills students should accomplish by grade level. You will access and try-out a variety of multimedia resources from a collection of free and exciting multimedia resources and tutorials. You will curate a variety of top free technology tools that can expand the options you provide for students to create artifacts that communicate their ideas clearly and express themselves creatively to demonstrate their ideas and knowledge.
