Currently, much of school is spent focusing on ELA and mathematics, which is important, but our students need more. In this webinar series, we will explore how to remix ELA and mathematics lessons into Something Better by engaging students with activities that are enhanced with computational thinking (CT) skills, such as decomposition and pattern recognition, that can be utilized in all subjects.

 We will be using a crosswalk to investigate examples of ELA’s connections to computational thinking, Computer Science/Early Literacy Crosswalk for the K-2 webinar

Young learners are filled with curiosity and a desire to explore how things work. Engage your students in the problem solving process through the use of picture books, apps, online tools and tactile experiences. Walk away from this webinar with resources and ideas to put into practice in your own classroom along with connections for how key computer science standards support the learning.
