Description: This work includes participating in a 1 hour webinar covering the topic and 2 hours completing a job-embedded task

Author’s Craft is a collection of processes, tools, and strategies to creating and structuring good writing based on a purpose. Explore a variety of craft strategies to empower student writers through using digital tools. Topics are partly based on the 6+1 Writing Traits, including Word Choice, Voice, Ideas, and Sentence Fluency. Additional topics include use of Details and author permissions such as use of Open Educational Resources. Walk away with additional strategies to add or augment your writer’s toolkit.

Growing writers need job-embedded experiences similar to professional writers to grow their craft. Explore a variety of craft strategies to empower student writers through using digital tools. Understand how writing in the digital age requires students to have awareness of certain computer science standards that can empower their growth as authors.
