    Problem Solved, use a tech tool and real world skills to design a PBL activity for your students

    For Educators teaching grades K-8

    In partnership with The Michigan Economic Development Corporation (MEDC), The Center for Excellence in STEM Education is offering a multi-day workshop that is appropriate for K-8 educators of all backgrounds in both formal and informal settings. Over the course of 3 workshops you will develop a problem-based activity that will utilize technology as a tool to create a prototype as a solution to the problem and highlight grade level appropriate manufacturing skills.  Technology tools used in the workshops will be available to check-out. SCECH hours and a stipend will be available.

    Tech: Hummingbird, Makey-Makey, Sphero Indi 

    Session Details

    Location: Chippewa Nature Center, Visitor Center

    Dates:  6/23/26, 6/24/26, and 8/5/26

    Time: 9:00 am - 12:00 pm

    Stipends:  $75/day or $250 for all 3 days.  Register for an individual session by selecting a date, or register for the full series.
