    Learner Agency (2026-2027)
What does it really mean to have learner agency in our classrooms? And how can we as educators provide more opportunities for student-led instruction and improved student outcomes? This self-paced course will define and present the concepts of student agency and, more broadly, learner agency. You’ll explore elements of a safe and productive environment, practice using digital engagement tools and methods, and collaborate with colleagues to inspire ways for students—and even yourself—to take greater control of the learning. In this course, you will: Develop your understanding of the key components of agency, Learn how to create a safe and inclusive environment that allows all students opportunities to take greater control of their learning, and Finish the course ready to design student-centered learning modules using new tools and resources from this course.
