This regional community of practice supports educators in learning more about and improving their own best practices in Indigenous Education content/curriculum and strengthening connections with Native students, families, and community members.
Members will share ideas, strategies and resources, offer feedback and engage in professional learning to create a safe, supportive, and learning environment for students. This collaboration will strengthen individual practices and the school community, leading to positive educational outcomes.
*Past attendees included Native Advisors, Title VI Coordinators, Ojibwe/Anishinaabe Language and Culture Teachers, K-12 school staff, Tribal Staff (Bay Mills, Sault Tribe, LTBB), local/state educational partners (LSSU, IEIMI, BMCC).
Lunch is provided for participants who register 24 hours in advance (please indicate during registration).
5 SCECHs per meeting are available (pending approval), you must provide PIC number.
