    Hands-On Early Numeracy: Building Strong Math Foundations in K–2
    This professional development will focus on building strong early numeracy foundations for K–2 learners by targeting key gateway skills that include essential knowledge, concepts, and procedures closely linked to long-term success in mathematics. Teachers will explore research-based strategies, hands-on activities, and engaging games that promote number sense, reasoning, and mathematical fluency.

    Target Audience
    K - 2 Teachers
    Learner Outcomes
  • Participants will be able to identify and explain key gateway skills in early numeracy that are critical to long-term mathematics success.

  • Participants will be able to implement research-based strategies and hands-on activities to strengthen number sense and mathematical reasoning in K–2 classrooms.

  • Participants will be able to design and facilitate engaging games and fluency-building experiences that support foundational numeracy development.
