    Effective mathematics instruction is driven by meaningful assessment and intentional language development. In this session, participants will explore how assessment practices can be used to identify student strengths and learning needs while also developing students' mathematical vocabulary and academic discourse.

  • Participants will be able to use assessment evidence to make informed instructional decisions that address students' strengths and learning needs.
  • Participants will be able to implement instructional strategies that build mathematical vocabulary and promote meaningful mathematical discourse in the classroom.
