Safe Crisis Management Initial Training

  • Event Information
    Safe Crisis Management Initial Training

The safe management of an exploding young person may well be the most demanding professional challenge faced by teachers and staff. Success in these situations requires a set of knowledge and physical skill. This three-day training provides a practical, legal and most importantly, a professional response to a most difficult problem - student explosive behavior.

This training is a student-safe intervention model that operates from the principle of the "least restrictive alternative." In this model, physical intervention is seen as a last resort choice. Emphasis is on verbal/non-verbal interventions.

Participants should wear comfortable clothing - tee shirts, sweatpants, and supportive footwear (i.e. sneakers).

Refreshments/Lunch: Morning refreshments and Lunch is NOT provided 30 minute lunch break- please feel free to bring your own lunch.
