    Description:

    This training explores the effects of current drug trends on the developing adolescent brain, with a focus on the neurological impact of substance use. Participants will gain insight into how various substances interfere with brain function, decision-making, and emotional regulation in youth. The session is designed to equip school staff in student support roles with practical knowledge to better identify, support, and intervene with at-risk students.

    This month’s session includes a presentation on the Brain and Current Drug Trends by Dr. Judith Grisel

    Format:

    Interactive workshop with scenarios, reflection, and resource sharing

    Act 48: 2 hours

    Apply knowledge of brain-based effects of drugs to support early identification and intervention efforts in school settings.
