DESCRIPTION:
Letrs 3rd edition is a 2 year of Professional Learning Course continuing with Volume 2- Language Comprehension. Professional learning from LETRS is relevant and applicable regardless of the literacy programs already used within your state, district, or school. LETRS leverages decades of research, including the latest neuroscience that reveals how we learn to read and how to teach reading with effective instruction. The content is translated into everyday classroom success in a most relevant and empowering way for educators. It is presented in flexible, online, and face-to-face delivery models.

DETAILS:
- Participants will complete the 6 online sessions of each unit before the Face to Face trainings held at the CSIU Conference and Learning Center.
- Time: These sessions will begin at 8:30 am and end by 3:30 pm. Participation is required. Lunch will be on your own each day.
- Cost: for this course is $450 and includes a book (for participants from CSIU regional districts-non-CSIU districts will have the option to purchase the text/online access for an additional 400.00), one-year access to online learning units, and four face-to-face workshops. Books will be shipped or delivered to your school.
- Act 48 Hours: up to 86 hours.
Graduate Credit
Interested participants should know that this course will also be offered for 6 CPE credits. CPE credits offered by IUs in Pennsylvania can be used towards Instructional II certification, Bachelors/Masters Equivalency, and Act 48 requirements. The CPE course, worth 180 Act 48 hours, will involve a larger workload.
