Join us for a full-day, hands-on workshop focused on building practical skills and systems for digital accessibility in schools. In the morning, participants will learn and apply the SLIDE framework (Structure, Links, Images, Design, Enhance/Evaluate) to create accessible documents, presentations, and instructional materials. Through guided examples and real-time practice, attendees will identify common accessibility barriers and make immediate improvements to their own materials.
In the afternoon, the focus shifts from individual practice to district-wide systems and planning. Participants will explore what digital accessibility requires at a systems level, including roles, workflows, and shared responsibilities across instruction, special education, and technology. Using a structured roadmap aligned to current ADA Title II expectations, teams will reflect on their current practices and identify key areas for growth.
This session is designed for educators, instructional leaders, and technology staff who are ready to move beyond awareness and take actionable steps. Participants will leave with improved materials, a clearer understanding of their role in accessibility, and concrete next steps to support sustainable, district-wide implementation.
