Adolescent Brains in the Classroom

  • Event Information
    Adolescent Brains in the Classroom
This course, designed for secondary teachers, is a book study of Dr.John Medina's book "Attack of
the Teenage Brain". Together, we will learn what is happening to the brain during the time of
adolescents, explore how those development changes manifest in our classroom, and reflect and
plan how to best support our secondary students during this tumultuous time of their lives. This
course is asynchronous, based in Schoology, and will require participants to discuss and share while we read the book, as well as participate in a "deep dive" on a related topic of their choice.
    Target Audience
All certified and classified within and outside of the district.
