26 PJP Adding It Up: Empowering All Students in Math Through a UDL Approach
On Tuesday, August 11, from 9:00 AM–1:30 PM, the PJP Summer Learning Series returns! Elementary and middle school teachers, building leaders, and learning support/resource room staff are invited to join us for a dynamic professional development session focused on implementing a Universal Design for Learning (UDL) mindset in math classrooms and learning spaces.

The session will feature interactive presentations led by Maria Pardini and Joseph Rogers, with special guest presenter Mrs. Jackie Rocks, Principal of St. Teresa of Calcutta School in Limerick. Mrs. Rocks will share engaging, experiential strategies designed to reach all learners, especially students with learning differences and those who struggle with mathematical concepts.

Participants will also learn how Archdiocesan high schools support students with learning differences, with a special focus on the Panthers Achieving Worthwhile Success (PAWS) program at Pope John Paul II High School. We will highlight practical transition supports to help you prepare your students for success at the high school level.

The PAWS Program at Pope John Paul II High School provides individualized, intentional support to students with documented learning differences who have previously benefited from academic accommodations and structured support.
