    REMC Summer Book Studies 2026
This summer book study offers educators a choice-driven professional learning experience designed to strengthen instructional impact and meet the diverse needs of today’s learners. Participants will select from three focused texts, each aligned to high-impact teaching practices and student-centered design:
    • Illustrated Guide to Visible Learning – Deepen understanding of evidence-based strategies grounded in John Hattie’s research. Participants will explore what works best in classrooms, unpack effect sizes, and identify practical ways to make learning visible for students through clarity, feedback, and intentional instructional design.

    • The Station Rotation Model & UDL – Learn how to design blended learning environments that combine purposeful station rotation with Universal Design for Learning principles. Educators will develop flexible lesson structures that increase engagement, ownership, and access for all learners.

    • Meet Every Learner’s Needs – Focus on differentiation systems that proactively address learner variability. Participants will explore structures for scaffolding, extension, formative assessment, and small-group instruction to ensure every student experiences growth.

The book study will run throughout the summer (June 15-Aug. 16)  in an asynchronous format in the Canvas platform. Educators will engage in reflective discussion, application tasks, and classroom-ready planning aligned to their selected text. By the end of the experience, participants will have ready-to-use strategies for the upcoming school year.

This opportunity is designed to be practical, collaborative, and immediately applicable—ensuring teachers return in the fall equipped with tools that increase clarity, engagement, and impact for every learner.
