Location: Virtual, Online asynchronous course
Audience: All K-12 educators and beyond, including those who work with families, birth-3, sharing digital resources and documents, as well as those serving post-secondary students and families.
This course introduces educators to the ADA Title II Update by teaching essential authoring decisions for digital content. Participants will move through 13 modules covering how to Keep 'C.A.L.M.', Choose Accessible Learning Materials, to ensure all learners can perceive, operate, and understand digital resources. By the end of the course, users will be able to apply WCAG 2.1 Level AA compliant authoring decisions when creating and selecting documents, slide decks, and emails, transitioning from reactive accommodations to "accessible by default" design.
