High Retention Strategies in Mathematics 2025-26

    November 18, 2025 AND December 18, 2025 from 8:30 AM - 3:00 PM - 10 Act 48 hours

    ARIN Central Office

Elevate your mathematics instruction with this engaging training that was originally presented by Dr. Paul Riccomini at PaTTAN. Tailored for educators across all grade levels (K-12), this training focuses on equipping teachers with research-based strategies to enhance acquisition and retention of critical mathematical concepts and skills throughout the academic year.  In this training, participants will dive into the cognitive science behind learning and retention, exploring how students acquire and maintain mathematical knowledge. With a focus on practical applications, teachers will learn how to incorporate high-impact strategies into their classrooms, including blocked practice, spaced learning over time, interleaving, and retrieval practice. These techniques are designed to make practice sessions more intentional, engaging, and effective in fostering both initial acquisition and long-term mathematical understanding.  This is a two part training, and participants must attend both days. There is no registration fee for participants from ARIN's member districts.
