Autism Networking (25-26)
|
Autism Networking Sessions on (10/30/25, 1/29/26, 4/17/26) are from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m to focus on collaboration, idea-sharing, and practical strategies to support students on the autism spectrum. These sessions will provide a space for teachers to connect, reflect, and exchange effective instructional, behavioral, and social approaches tailored to the unique needs of autistic learners. Three Act 48 hours will be awarded per session. Topics of discussion will include the use of Direct Instruction to build academic skills, understanding and leveraging key components of the IEP individualize support, and the role of Functional Behavior Assessments (FBA) in designing effective behavior plans. Participants will also have the opportunity to explore classroom-tested strategies to promote engagement, communication, and social growth. The purpose of these meetings will be to support Indiana & Armstrong Districts AS Teachers in discussion around best practices for students on the autism spectrum. Join us to grow your toolkit, connect with like-minded educators, and strengthen your impact in supporting autistic students.
