Michigan Model is an evidence-based prevention and social-emotional learning curriculum. It addresses the major health risk behaviors identified by the Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). The secondary curriculum covers the following six main health topics with age-appropriate content: social-emotional health, substance use prevention, safety, nutrition, physical activity, and personal health and wellness.
This workshop is geared towards 7th-12th grade health or physical educators covering the Michigan Model for Health Units for those grade levels. This course will include an online module then a synchronous workshop.
Please note: This event is taking place at the Cheboygan-Otsego-Presque Isle ESD offices in Indian River, Mi. Virtual attendance is available - attendees who opt to attend virtually will receive a zoom link prior to the training.
