K-6 Michigan Model for Health
This will be a hybrid workshop, with an asynchronous portion and a virtual synchronous portion.  You MUST register two weeks prior to the synchronous part, so that we may ensure you receive your materials. The Michigan Model for Health is an evidence-based curriculum that uses a skills based approach to teaching social emotional, substance use prevention, nutrition, physical activity, safety, and personal health and wellness. It is also a recommended curriculum by CASEL (the Collaborative for Academic and Social Emotional Learning) to teach the social emotional competencies. Michigan Model is an important part of meeting the needs of the Whole Child.

Once registered, you will need to complete the asynchronous portion of the workshop. There are a lot of courses in the Learning Management System. You only need to take the one named "Michigan Model for Health".  Here are instructions for how to access the asynchronous piece. The asynchronous part takes no more than 3 hours to complete, and many people complete it much faster than that. You will want to save a copy of your certificate of completion for this portion. The facilitator will provide further instruction on how to share that once you are registered.
