Learning in the Garden: School Gardens Bring Curriculum Standards to Life
FREE Professional Learning for K-12 Teachers and Community Partners
Up to 6 SCECHs per day; lunches provided
Substitute teacher stipends for K-12 teachers
Travel stipends will be available for teachers traveling 50+ miles

This training will connect curriculum standards to hands-on garden activities. We will tour Dollar Bay’s school garden, providing a chance to connect with other teachers and new partners and to learn outdoors.

School gardens are points of connection for students and community while learning about local ecosystems, nutrition, and beauty. Learn strategies for successful programs that incorporate gardens into academic learning by going behind the scene with teachers from other districts.  Join us for experiential learning at T.R. Davis Elementary to inspire your teaching.

Specific details about where to meet and other information will be sent out closer to the event.

Contact Lloyd Wescoat lwescoat@mtu.edu or Abbey Palmer palmerab@msu.edu for more information.
