Nonviolent Crisis Intervention (NVCI) Recertification Training 2019-20 - EAST JORDAN

This is a recertification training opportunity for staff members who have current certification. As a reminder, certifications are valid for one year. Completion of a refresher course is required annually to maintain certification in use of non-violent crisis prevention/intervention strategies and procedures.

Target Audience

  East Jordan administrators, general and special education teachers, counselors, and
  itinerant staff who have successfully completed Nonviolent Crisis Intervention training
  within the last year.

  • the Crisis Development Model
  • nonverbal communication
  • verbal intervention
  • precipitating factors, rational detachment, and integrated experience
  • staff fear and anxiety
