Deep Dive into Dyslexia 2023
Dyslexia is a current and relevant concern for many educators, parents, and students.  There is an abundance of research addressing dyslexia, but there are also a lot of myths and untruths circulating about dyslexia and its impact on students.  This training will unveil these myths and shed light on what educators can do to address dyslexia in the classroom.  The training will specifically define dyslexia, review current research and legislation, discuss teacher knowledge and practice, and look at the use of assessments and effective classroom instruction to meet the needs of all students, but especially those who struggle with dyslexia.  
Target Audience
Special education teachers, literacy specialists, regular education teachers, school psychologists, school administrators, interventionist, Title 1 Staff, etc.  
Learner Outcomes
To define dyslexia and learn about the current legislation and research and to improve classroom instruction and assessments to meet the needs of all students.
