Intro to Sheltered Instruction Observation Protocol (SIOP) 2019
December 4 & 5, 2019 ~ 8:30 a.m.-3:30 p.m.

This two-day training will introduce K-12 content teachers and administrators to the SIOP (Sheltered Instruction Observation Protocol) Model, which is a research based model that highlights 8 specific components and 30 features to make content comprehensible for English Learners.  Specific strategies that benefit all diverse learners make this model relevant for all educators. Ongoing coaching will be offered to participants throughout the year.

Audience: All K-12 educators seeking to integrate academic language learning with content: K-12 Gen Ed teachers; ESL teachers, coordinators, specialists, paraprofessionals; literacy coaches; interventionists; reading specialists

Cost: $30 (includes light breakfast and lunch each day)

SCECHs may be  available pending state approval (cash or check only)
