Dive Into OER - Vetting Resources

Open Educational Resources (OER) are free, high quality, openly licensed educational tools that can be retained, reused, revised, remixed, and redistributed. During the two-day workshop, participants will learn about, explore, and vet open education resources using the Achieve rubric. Participants will get hands-on training on how to use the different elements of the rubric when evaluating OERs as well being able to provide educator feedback on the #GoOpen Michigan site. Stipends will be offered to educators who complete all of the required workshop elements. 10 SCECH's are available for completing the workshop.

Participants should bring their own device that can connect to wireless.

Awareness and understanding of OER and how to access and use the #GoOpen Michigan site. Examples: taking a REMC online course, attending a REMC Dive Into OER session, Edupaths OER online course, or a face-to-face event focused on #GoOpen Michigan and/or Open Education Resources (OER).
