Meat and Potatoes: How to Narrow Your ELA Curriculum Virtual Edition

To harness the power of your teaching staff, common, focused curriculum is needed. In this workshop, Carrie will guide teams through steps to revise existing curriculum and maps to meet the needs of at-home learners. It’s important that schools can provide equitable learning experiences for all students in all environments, and the curriculum is the foundation for this.

 

Workshop Agenda

  • Prioritize critical reading and writing standards to build a cohesive map

  • Utilize thematic units to balance reading and writing in a remote setting.

  • Explore weekly plan ideas for teaching, discussing, and reviewing content.
