Jackson County Threat Assessment System Training

During this course, individuals will learn the research-based threat assessment system used in Jackson County. This includes but is not limited to identifying a threat, deciding the level of threat, creating the appropriate consequences, generating the response, management, and support plan as well as monitoring/adjusting the plan. Through explanation, discussion, and practice each tool or part of the system will be explored.

Target Audience
|
Principals, Assistant Principals, Dean of Students, School Resource Officers, School Counselors, CSES/Social Worker, Superintendents, and other school and district administrators. (Teacher leaders only if their principals attend with them.)

Learner Outcomes
|
The participant will:
-understand the value of learning and implementing a system for addressing threats
-understand and be able to identify a threat.
-use the tools to walk through each part of the threat assessment processes.
-bring the understanding and learnings of this system back to their school/district for district collaboration and implementation.
