Michigan Model for Health: K-12 Summer Orientation 2026

This virtual workshop is geared towards K-12 grade classroom teachers, health, or physical educators covering the Michigan Model for Health Units for those grade levels. Michigan Model is an evidence-based prevention and social-emotional learning curriculum. It addresses the major health risk behaviors identified by the Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).

Participants will receive access to the updated, digital Michigan Model for Health curriculum and have the option to receive materials kits at no cost to districts. 5 SCECH hours are available as well as stipends for teachers.

Course requirements include:
-Prior to training: Michigan Model for Health Orientation module on website - certificate provided following completion of module.
-August 19: 3.5 Hour virtual/synchronous training
