Learning Starts with a Probe: Using Evidence to Activate Practices in PA STEELS

Join us for a full-day, interactive professional learning experience designed for MS and HS agriculture, science, engineering, environmental and STEM educators. This session will focus on implementing the PA STEELS standards through engaging, hands-on learning that brings three-dimensional teaching and learning to life.  Through student-centered learning, investigations using Vernier Probes and real-world data collection, educators will engage in the same types of learning they can bring back to their students.

David Carter is the STEM training director for Vernier science education, bringing decades of experience in both classroom teaching and national professional development. A former middle school teacher and university laboratory physicist, David has spent his career supporting K12 educators across the country in implementing hands-on, inquiry-based science learning he leads engaging workshops that help teachers bring real world data collection and 3D science practices into their classrooms.
