Event Details

LEA Representative Boot Camp
A comprehensive training designed to prepare LEA Representatives to confidently lead high-quality, legally compliant, and family-centered preschool special education services. Participants will strengthen their knowledge of IDEA, Chapter 14, evaluations, IEP development, data-based decision-making, meeting facilitation, and effective leadership through interactive learning, case studies, and hands-on practice. The Boot Camp emphasizes building the skills needed to lead collaborative teams and improve outcomes for young children and their families

Elwyn LEAs, CECs, QI Coaches ONLY
Learner Outcomes

Describe the roles, responsibilities, and legal requirements of an LEA Representative under IDEA, Pennsylvania Chapter 14, and Elwyn Early Learning Services policies. Apply data-based decision-making and legal requirements to develop and facilitate high-quality evaluations, IEPs, placement decisions, and service recommendations through case studies and practice activities. Demonstrate effective leadership, collaboration, and communication skills by facilitating IEP meetings, engaging families and team members, and responding to challenging situations using evidence-based and family-centered practices.

 

Must attend all sessions, complete application activities FOR CREDIT
