Behavioral Threat Assessment and Management (BTAM) Training
The Michigan K-12 Behavioral Threat Assessment and Management (Mi-BTAM) program is a proactive approach to ensuring the safety and well-being of school communities. It provides schools with tools and strategies to identify, assess, and manage potential threats in a supportive and collaborative manner. Mi-BTAM fosters a positive school environment by focusing on early intervention and promoting the safety of all students and staff. The goal of Mi-BTAM training is to identify, engage, and work collaboratively with families and students to mitigate life situational factors contributing to thoughts of violence and aggression.
