Audience: K-12 Educators
In this training, participants will receive access to the updated and now digital Michigan Model for Healthâ„¢ curriculum. This comprehensive and evidence-based curriculum is proven to improve the health knowledge, skills, attitudes and behaviors of students. This training will provide curriculum review on these key health topics areas:
Social-Emotional Health
Nutrition and Physical Activity
Alcohol, Tobacco (Vaping Included)
Opioids and Other Drugs
Safety (Including Bully Prevention, Conflict Management and Problem Solving Skills)
Personal Health and Wellness
There are two portions to this training:
Complete the online modules (estimated time is around 2 hours)
Meet virtually or in person with Regional School Health Consultant, Stacey Sills to complete the second portion of the training. This will take no more than 1 hour. This can be done individually or with a group from your district.
All participants must complete the online portion of the training prior to meeting with Stacey. Once you register, you will receive a link to complete the online portion.
Digital curriculum materials will be purchased at no cost (with the availability of grant funds).
Training Cost: There is no cost to attend this training.
