This Act 48 eligible program is designed to provide Pre-K - 12 Music Educators with a collection of new resources to enhance their curriculum, improve teacher efficacy, and keep educators up to date with best practices in music education and arts integration. Sample topics for this year's in-service include - Tech in the Music Classroom, Routines that work for the Elementary Music Educator, Roundtable Discussions, Woodwind and Brass Refreshers, and Identifying and Correcting Vocal Techniques to name a few.  There will be presenters from Carnegie Mellon Univ, Allegheny College, Penn State Behrend, and the Erie Philharmonic Organization. The day's events will also increase awareness of regional curricular resources (at the Erie Philharmonic and with Erie Arts & Culture).

2026 STEELS Summit - Regional Common Inservice
The STEELS Summit is a professional learning event for middle school and high school educators implementing the Pennsylvania STEELS standards. The summit will be held at the General McLane School District and is open to educators teaching STEELS aligned courses. Participants will engage in a combination of grade-band breakout sessions and STEELS-related topical sessions. Grade-band sessions will focus on collaboration, networking, and shared planning among educators teaching similar grade levels. Topical breakout sessions will provide opportunities to explore instructional strategies, resources, and classroom applications aligned to the STEELS framework. Sessions will emphasize three-dimensional teaching and learning and provide participants with practical takeaways that can be applied directly to classroom instruction. The STEELS Summit is designed to support educator capacity, promote professional collaboration, and strengthen implementation of the PA STEELS standards.

Advancing Civic Participation Through Holocaust Education
These programs are designed to enhance teachers’ knowledge, capacity, and confidence to teach about the Holocaust. Educators are introduced to pedagogical principles and explore classroom lessons, visual history testimonies and other resources that examine aspects of the history and its continued relevance today. Programs can provide broad historical overview grounded in effective instructional strategies or focus on specific themes aligned with Echoes & Reflections Units.

Studying the Holocaust imparts essential lessons of civic values, including justice, tolerance, and the importance of democratic liberties. This program examines how lessons of history can instill the importance of civic action in young people from all backgrounds. By using Echoes & Reflections pedagogical approach and examining the rise of the Nazi party, participants bridge memory into action and inspire students to participate in political processes in their community.

Bringing the World's Game to Every Student
Teachers will participate in practical, ready-to-use activities that build fundamental movement skills, soccer skills, teamwork, communication, and personal connection. The session will also highlight ways to extend the excitement of soccer beyond PE through the World's Games Resources, including PE lessons, classroom connections, recess activities, field day ideas, and school-wide opportunities that celebrate the global nature of the game.

Taking the Temperature: Current Issues in School-Based Speech-Language Therapy
School-based SLPs provide intervention for students who are working on goals within many different communication areas, including fluency, articulation/phonology, pragmatics, and much more.  Working within this wide scope of practice, it may be difficult for SLPs to maintain their knowledge regarding current research and intervention techniques. This session will help SLPs “take the temperature” regarding the areas of fluency, articulation/phonology, and pragmatics, in order to familiarize them with the latest research within these areas of speech-language.  SLPs will also explore evidence-based practices within these areas of speech-language, and specifically identify those interventions that are most applicable to the school environment.  Throughout the day, participants will also be given the opportunity to reflect upon their own practices and identify opportunities for change or refinement of skills.

NWIRC & Crawford County K-12 Career Education Alliance invites educators to join them to tour Crawford county industry partners.  Participants will engage with professionals from Drafting, Engineering, and Business departments to have a close look at STEM careers and how to best prepare students with the needed skills.  Participants will visit The ALIC in the morning and Leech Industries in the afternoon. **See "Important information" and "special instructions" for details.

Gifted Networking

This Act 48–eligible Regional Common Inservice session is designed to support collaboration and professional learning among educators involved in gifted education. The morning portion of the day will focus on networking and information sharing, including updates from the Pennsylvania Department of Education, PAGE affiliate information, and discussion of effective practices that support high-quality gifted programming. In the afternoon, participants will engage in a hands-on professional learning experience focused on the use of a lending library device, exploring instructional resources, materials, and practical applications that can be integrated into classroom and district programming.

Nutrition and Culinary Tips for Family Consumer Science Educators
