*** OPEN TO CURRENT WCSD TEACHERS WHO ARE PARTICIPATING IN IPIP PROGRAMS ONLY.*** The Individual Professional Improvement Program (IPIP) is designed to recognize that many non-credit activities enhance the effectiveness of the professional educator. Current WCSD certified employees who plan to participate in professional growth activities that do not issue credit (ex: site-level curriculum meetings), may apply for IPIP inservice credit prior to beginning the activity. A total of twenty IPIP credits may be earned during one´s career. It is the participant’s responsibility to keep track of total number of IPIP credits earned.

Monthly high school department leader meetings focused on communication, Open to Standard Setting Cadre 2009-2010 only work completed will determine the level of proficiency required for students to be deemed proficient on the Algebra 1 and 2 semester final exams and also the credit by exam (CBE) for WCSD. Participants will recive training in the process of standard setting for testing, including practical experience. This work will be completed outside of contract time and focuses on the NV 9-12 math Standards and assessment. The process of standard setting occurs at the state level and increased understanding of the process is valuable to all educators as they work to ensure quality, consistency and validity with their own classroom assessments. collaboration, content and professional development.
