           Kindergarten Cadre Year I [A]
***BY INVITATION ONLY*** Participants were selected by application. Course content focus is on teaching and assessment practices for literacy instruction in the kindergarten classroom. Specific topic focuses include: reading theory, oral language development, read aloud, shared reading, guided reading, independent reading, interactive writing, observation skills and assessments. Inservice credit is only available if this course is taken during non-contract hours.
           Kindergarten Cadre Year II [A]
***BY INVITATION ONLY*** Participants were selected by application. The content focus is an in-depth revisiting of the professional readings offered in the Kindergarten Cadre Year I. Emphasis will be refining deep understanding of emergent literacy development and now that understanding impacts teaching decisions in their own classrooms. Inservice credit is only available if this course is taken during non-contract hours.
           Kindergarten Cadre Year III [A]
***BY INVITATION ONLY*** Participants were selected by application. The content focus is an in-depth revisiting of the professional readings offered in the Kindergarten Cadre Year I.            Kindergarten Cadre Year IV [A]
***BY INVITATION ONLY*** Participants were selected by application. Content focuses on personal implementation of content of The Kindergarten Cadre Year I-III in the classroom and personal refinement of theory, practices, assessing development and teaching decisions to meet the needs of each student. Inservice credit is only available if this course is taken during non-contract hours.
           Kindergarten Kommunikations Meetings 2009-2010 [A]
These meetings are ongoing professional development for kindergarten teachers. Specific topics will be determined by need throughout the year. Kindergarten teachers will be notified by email of specific topics for each meeting date.
           Minimum Day Kindergarten Prof. Development 2009-10 Topic 1 [A]
First Topic of Discussion: What is the Essential Learning we need every kindergartner to come to by the end of Kindergarten?" Start/end time will vary depending on your site. These trainings will be 2.5 hours long.
           Minimum Day Kindergarten Prof. Development 2009-10 Topic 2 [A]
Second Topic of Discussion: "How do we continually monitor for growth in essential learning over time?" Start/end time will vary depending on your site. These trainings will be 2.5 hours long.
           Minimum Day Kindergarten Prof. Development 2009-10 Topic 3 [A]
Third Topic of Discussion: "What does rigorous developmentally appropriate goal setting mean for emergent learners?" Start/end time will vary depending on your site. These trainings will be 2.5 hours long.
