Learn how to impact the behavior of youth who exhibit aggression and other bullying behaviors, establish a behavior rubric to insure a consistent response to these behaviors, mobilize the bystanders, reinforce positive behaviors, and develop strong parent partnerships. Bullying and other aggressive behavior affects all students’ ability to learn by undermining emotional and physical safety in school that is essential to learning. You will leave this course with a clear understanding of this research-based process that will substantially change the aggressive behaviors in your school. Strategies discussed will unfold readily into existing behavior-based initiatives, such as Character Education, Positive Behavior Supports and Peer Mediation. Registration is at 8:00 A.M. The course begins promptly at 8:30 A.M. Target audience for this course is administrators, school improvement team members, counselors, social workers, teachers, hall monitors, bus aides, parents and board members.
