3125 NEW! Michigan Model for Health 4th & 5th Grades - 3125
Come and experience the newly revised and condensed Michigan Model for Health Curriculum for Grades 4 & 5; only 25 lessons for Grade 4 and 30 lessons for Grade 5. This course will provide an overview of the new skill-based lessons which cover the following topics: Social and Emotional Health (character education), Nutrition and Physical Activity, Safety, Alcohol Tobacco and Other Drugs, and Personal Health and Wellness (grade 5 only). You will learn how implementation of health curriculum addresses barriers to learning and can be incorporated into the core curriculum. Teacher manuals and some classroom materials will be disseminated. Registration begins at 8am and the course begins promptly at 8:30am. The target audience for this course is teachers of grades 4-5.
