3123 Sexuality & HIV/AIDS Certification: Elementary - 3123
Gear up to learn how to teach reproductive health, sexuality education and HIV/AIDS education. You’ll overview legal issues and legislative mandates, human sexual behavior, sexual myths, teen pregnancy, risk factors of early onset of sexual activity and the programs designed to affect them. Effective elementary curricula and materials will also be highlighted. It is important for teachers to know what reproductive health and/or HIV/AIDS curriculum has been approved by their local School Board. ONE DAY FULL ATTENDANCE IS MANDATORY! Registration begins at 8:00am and the course begins promptly at 8:30am. The audience for this course is elementary teachers.
