           3174 Photoshop & Elements Intermediate [A]
Now that you have had the basic course and became an enthusiast, let´s get down! BRING PHOTOS of your classroom, your grandkids, your new Mini Cooper, whatever warms you up. We´ll start by importing, browsing, scanning and various options for getting images into Photoshop. We will work with rescuing the clinkers by cropping, enhancing colors and exposure, etc. We´ll end with an exploration of patching/healing and editing with layer masks. If you have photos or other projects of your own, this is a good time to bring them. If you only have prints, we will have scanners available. Prerequisite: This is for those who have had the basic course. If you have had the scanning course also, you´ll be ahead of the game. The intended audience for this course is all educators.
           3175 Blackboard Advanced [A]
Learn how to create and import assessment items into your Blackbaord course. The intended audience for this course is educators who are comfortable uploading documents into their Blackboard course and have familiarity with the control panel.

The intended audience for this course is all educators.
           3177 Illustrator/Freehand Intermediate [A]
You´ve had the basic Illustrator/Freehand course and can draw basic shapes. Let´s go on to the fancy stuff. Do you have old clipart that would work if the clothing styles or computers were updated? You can do that. Create your own clipart or modify graphics that may be close to what you need, but not quite there. We will deal with the disassembly and editing of Encapsulated Postscript graphics (EPS - if you’ve had the basic course, you know what they are) in order to customize them to your needs. Prerequisite: Basic Illustrator/Freehand course. The intended audience for this course is all educators.
3178 Meeting the Online Learning Requirements [A]
As part of the Michigan Merit Curriculum, students graduating in 2011 and beyond will be required the meet the online learning requirement. That means this year’s incoming freshmen class must have a plan in place of how they will meet this requirement. During this course, you will have the opportunity to better understand the online requirement and explore different ways that schools can meet it. The focus of the course will be using free/low cost online resources. Prerequisites: comfortable using the Internet. The intended audience for this course is all educators.
           3179 Scanning & Digital Imaging Intermediate [A]
Now that you are on the right route to become an expert on scanning, how about other digital methods for making images? This course will extend what you learned in the scanning and Photoshop courses. By now, you probably use your digital camera in the classroom anyway, so combine that with screen capture, scanning and drawing techniques to get your message across. We will explore the various ways to obtain/acquire/import/capture digital images and edit and combine them using the techniques we learned in the beginning courses. You will learn to layer them in Photoshop or combine them with the EPS and GIF graphics that were created in the Illustrator/ Freehand courses. Prerequisites: scanning and Photoshop courses.
