This course picks up where the 800 Installer/Maintainer left off. It is designed for senior personnel that are involved in the design and implementation of the security system. There is coverage of advanced administration topics, such as custom DB view, Keypad commands, Intrusion Zones, partitioning, and automated import. Guard Tour, Central Monitoring, Bi-Directional interface and ODBC will be also be covered. There are detailed sections on card formatting, multiple cards, and extended cards. Various troubleshooting tools such as DBLint and Comm. Watcher will be covered. There is a section on event design that includes a casebook of how to implement various situations including Boolean operations. (E.g. Event X goes true if A is true and either B or C are true, etc.)
Successful completion results in certification at the Advanced level.

This course covers the various topics that the Applications Engineer (AE), Account Executive, or Consultant must be proficient in. The student will be presented with the various choices that must be made with recommendations that weigh the tradeoffs between the choices. For example, the choice of whether to use Windows 2000 Professional vs. Windows 2000 Server or the differences between iSTAR vs. apCs, etc. All of the basic and advanced features of the C·CURE 800/8000 systems will be covered with an exercise to select the correct model for a given set of needs. The integration of CCTV, DVMS, paging, e-mail and other features will be discussed. The course is performance based with several student labs. Recommended cabling and wiring specifications and methods will be discussed. Choices in networking will be discussed. All discussions will be based on designing the most cost effective solutions for the task. There is a section on interfacing with the MIS group and also a section on good design principles.

This course covers all standard hardware utilized in a Software House System. The system used in class for the minimal software coverage will be the C·CURE 800/8000, although the knowledge is transferable to other systems. The primary objective of the course is to develop proficiency in hardware installation and verification. In keeping with the role-oriented curriculum, the objectives of the course have been determined by the tasks that a Hardware Installer must be proficient in. The course is performance based with many student labs. Students will be taught and then perform each function in a lab. Subjects include: connecting apC panels and iSTAR controllers to the host, (i.e., RS232, RS485 chain, Ethernet, terminal server); installing and flashing firmware; recommended cabling and wiring specifications and methods; power wiring, ESD, and CAT-5; basic verification, fault analysis and troubleshooting techniques; as well as all pin outs including DTE-DCE straight through and DTE-DTE crossover.

The course covers installation, configuration and troubleshooting of the C•CURE 800/8000 System in a redundant configuration using AutoStart and Replistor. There will be labs to configure the system and simulate fail over. Understanding and implementing scripts as well as integration of this product in a Microsoft Windows 2003 Domain with Active Directory will also be covered. The first two days cover a mirrored HA (High Availability) solution using AutoStart and results in Certification. The last day covers two solutions that utilize a Disaster node across a WAN using Replistor along with AutoStart. This Course is designed to meet the needs of those Integrators and End Users upgrading from Co-Standby Server or Implementing the AutoStart / Replistor option for the first time.
