In our classrooms today we often have students who are exhibit behaviors that disrupt their learning or the learning of others. Both regular teachers and special education teachers face this problem. This course provides more in-depth discussion on behaviors occurring in various learning settings and possible reasons the behaviors are occurring. Various positive behavior support for students with individual education plans (IEPs) who are receiving education in the regular classroom versus the regular education student. Appropriate for documentation will be discussed and teachers will document behavior in their classroom using a method presented. Case scenarios will be used to present simulated behavior situations; however, teachers are encouraged to bring examples of behavioral situations that they have experienced or are experiencing to class for discussion. Managing Behavior in the Classroom - 1 is a prerequisite for this course.
