In our classrooms today we often have students who are exhibit behaviors that disrupt their learning or the learning of others. Both regular teachers and special education teachers face this problem. This course will discuss behaviors occurring in learning settings and possible reasons the behaviors are occurring. Included will be methods of documentation and evaluation of the behaviors. Various techniques in behavior management will be presented. The course will also discuss behavior management for students with individual education plans (IEPs) versus the regular educations student. This course is designed for any classroom teacher who wants more information about behavior management. It is recommended that regular educators complete Special Education for Regular Educators I & 11 prior to taking this course. However, it is not a prerequisite.
