In this class, participants will learn how to read and interpret food labels, compare and contrast organic foods versus non-organic foods, and will learn how to teach proper nutrition and eating habits to students and peers. In addition, participants will create a lesson plan, specific to their content area, which will emphasize the value of proper nutrition and a well-balanced diet. The participants will learn how to use the knowledge acquired in this course in order to teach their students how to make healthy food choices.
